Christine Dumont graduated from Simmons College in Boston in 1994 with her Bachelors of Science in nursing and in 1999 from Simmons College with her Masters of Science in nursing. She worked at Boston Children’s Hospital for over 20 years in many specialty areas. She started her career in nursing working on a general medical/surgical floor. When attending graduate school, she transferred to the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit where she enjoyed caring for critically ill children and young adults for 5 years. After finishing graduate school and becoming a certified Nurse Practitioner, she had the pleasure of working in many specialty areas as an Advanced Practice Nurse. These speciality areas included Endocrine/Diabetes and Critical Care. Christine then spent the last eight years of her time at Children’s working in her favorite position on the Acute Pain Service.
Christine left Children’s Hospital in January of 2015 to have a shorter commute and better quality of family life. She worked in Primary Care for almost a year, but missed working in Pain Management. When the opportunity arose to join the team at Interventional Spine Medicine, Christine was excited to return to an area of patient care she really enjoyed.
