Shivani Pereira graduated in 2007 from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Science. Right after graduating college, she worked at Melrose Wakefield Hospital and spent 10 years as a lab technician, followed by an emergency room technician and then at the oncology center as a medical assistant. During this time, she gained exposure to different medical modalities and really formed a desire to help people in need. She graduated from MGH Institute of Health Professions with a master’s in nursing in 2017 and is a board-certified adult/gerontology primary care nurse practitioner through AANC. She started her career focusing on addiction medicine, working in both inpatient and outpatient facilities. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her son and her rescue dog.
