Jo Elizabeth MacNair received her nursing degree in 1975 from Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston Maine before becoming a nurse on staff at the Special Care Unit at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She left in 1980 to study anesthesiology at Mercy Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia. After graduating in 1982 from Mercy she began her anesthesia career in Nashua, NH and then joined the Anesthesia practice at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in 1983.
In 1988 Ms. MacNair started her own free-lance Anesthesia practice with a colleague practicing in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
From 1992 to 2005 she served in the practice of Atlantic Anesthesia Associates at Wentworth Douglass Hospital, Dover, NH before joining Granite State Anesthesia Associates in Nashua, NH.
Ms. MacNair joined Interventional spine Medicine in February 2007. Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Nurse Anesthetist, she is accredited with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and provides anesthesia in ISMs Barrington office.
