By the time I found ISM I was very sceptical that I could be helped. Now I actually feel good. I’m joyful, happy and positive again. Thank you Interventional Spine Medicine.
Radiofrequency lesioning interrupts pain signals by delivering radio-wave energy to a very small area in a nerve to numb its sensitivity. After determining the affected nerves by computer, the involved nerve area is heated using the radiofrequency waves. ISM pain doctors most frequently use radiofrequency lesioning for the treatment of facet joint arthritis neck pain and back pain. Radiofrequency lesioning is performed in patients who experience excellent, but temporary pain relief with diagnostic nerve blocks.
The majority of patients experience pain relief lasting from many months to a year, after which, the treated nerves may regenerate. But, radiofrequency lesioning can be repeated as needed.
Indications: Painful facet joint arthritis, back pain, neck pain, nerve pain, some forms of headaches.
